from spyplanes to facebook

Everything about childcare inequalities in America seems incredibly bleak to me, bone-chilling bleakness. But it's interesting to think about how--I mean, my instinct would be to characterize the Facebook groups she mentions as people's resiliency, to come together and to organize from the ground up to meet their own needs.
But then--she implies it's moderation that then we should be worried about, that FB takes a role in, but extend it further. Algorithmically promoted posts, even within those groups. Whose needs are shown to you, then, within this flourishing of resiliency?
Black boxes in basic social fabric don't seem like good things.
