Sometimes I have to explain to colleagues here in Seattle what it’s like over the mountains in central Washington, and that actually central Washington isn’t eastern Washington, and it’d all be a lot easier if I could just point to this and say “there’s the mega-Seattle-area, Yakima, the Tri-Cities, Spokane, and a bit of Portland spillover in denial about it.
